Generalized excitations and loads for electromagnetic analysis with boundary elements

چکیده
Several new excitation and load models are proposed for electromagnetic analysis in the context of a Galerkin-type large-domain (higherorder) boundary element method (BEM) or Method of moments for structures composed of thin wires, metallic surfaces, and imperfect inhomogeneous dielectric bodies. The models represent a natural generalization of point-delta generators and loads for wires. They are used for excitation and loading of metallic quadrilateral surface elements and dielectric hexahedral volume elements, and are termed line-delta and surface-delta generators and loads, respectively. The corresponding Galerkin generalized impedance and voltage matrix elements are derived and incorporated in the large-domain BEM outlined in the paper. The accuracy and usefulness of the proposed excitation and load models are illustrated on a number of characteristic examples. It is believed that these models can also be included in other BEMs for analysis of electromagnetic systems in frequency domain with comparable advantages. q 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. A Boundary Elements and Particular Integrals Implementation for Thermoelastic Stress Analysis
A formulation and an implementation of two-dimensional Boundary Element Method (BEM) analysis for steady state, uncoupled thermoelastic problems is presented. This approach differs from other treatments of thermal loads in BEM analysis in which the domain integrals due to the thermal gradients are to be incorporated in the analysis via particular-integrals. Thus unlike Finite Elements or Field ...

In the current work, the seismic analysis of bent region in buried pipes is performed, and effects of soil properties and modeling methods on pipe’s response are investigated. To do this task Beam, Beam-Shell Finite Element modeling and a Continuum shell FE models of a 90 degrees elbow are employed. In the Beam model, the pipe is simulated by beam elements while combined shell-beam elements a...
متن کاملA Comparative Analysis of TLCD-Equipped Shear Buildings under Dynamic Loads
This study targets the behavior of shear buildings equipped with tuned liquid column dampers (TLCD) which attenuate dynamic load-induced vibrations. TLCDs are a passive damping system used in tall buildings. This kind of damper has proven to be very efficient, being an excellent alternative to mass dampers. A dynamic analysis of the structure-damper system was made using the software DynaPy, de...

In this paper, transient solution of two dimensional asymmetric thermal and mechanical stresses for a hollow cylinder made of piezoelectric material is developed. Transient temperature distribution, as function of radial and circumferential directions and time with general thermal boundary-conditions, is analytically obtained, using the method of separation of variables and<br...
متن کاملThree-dimensional elasticity solution for vibrational analysis of thick continuously graded sandwich plates with different boundary conditions using a two-parameter micromechanical model for agglomeration
An equivalent continuum model based on the Eshelby-Mori-Tanaka approach was employed to estimate the effective constitutive law for an elastic isotropic medium (i.e., the matrix) with oriented straight carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The two-dimensional generalized differential quadrature method was an efficient and accurate numerical tool for discretizing equations of motion and for implementing vari...
